Three TeleVisit Options
During these unprecedented and uncertain times, in-person appointments are not always the best option for you and your family. At New Beginnings Pediatrics, we are proud to offer our services virtually through pediatric televisits. Now you can receive the expert care that your child deserves from the comfort of your home.
There are three different ways that you can participate in TeleVisits with your child’s doctor. These include:
- Become web-enabled through New Beginnings Pediatrics. If you are not already web-enabled or receiving emails from our clinic, call 540-739-3623 and provide us with your email address.
- Activate your patient portal online.
- Download the HEALOW app by eClinicalWorks, LLC in the app store on your mobile device click “start.” The practice code is AIHHBA.
Once you have web access to our clinic or have downloaded the HEALOW app, there are a few steps you must take in order to set up your child’s appointment.
How Do I Set Up a TeleVisit?
To set up an appointment for pediatric televisits with your child’s pediatrician at New Beginnings Pediatrics, first, call our office at (540) 739-3623 to schedule a date and time. Once a date and time have been set, you will receive an electronic appointment confirmation at least 60 minutes prior to your appointment via your email or the HEALOW app. Follow the instructions below to continue with your appointment:
- Give yourself enough time to log in and join the session before the scheduled appointment time (approx. 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time).
- Once you are logged in, turn on the video camera and microphone on your computer or phone.
- Skip through the “vitals” section on your screen.
- Finally, click the orange Start TeleVisit link to join the visit with your provider. Your provider will be notified that you are in the virtual waiting room and they will connect to the virtual appointment.
