Immunizations in Blacksburg, VAThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the number of children receiving routine immunizations dropped immediately after the United States declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus. At New Beginnings Pediatrics, we understand that COVID-19 has disrupted many aspects of our patients’ lives such as education, socialization, sports activities as well as maintaining wellness visits with the pediatrician. While the pandemic put a pause on our day-to-day lives, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that many children have missed important routine vaccinations that are required to enter school and stay healthy. We would like to take an opportunity to encourage parents to call our office at (540) 739-3623 to find out if your child has missed a routine immunization.
